Have you tried flexiseq? Available from local pharmacies and the usual online retailer beginning with A.
It’s quite pricey but if it works it is often on offer -
You might find this link useful for gadgets etc -on another forum but you should be able read it okay -

Happy Birthday
personally I didn’t find that Flexiseq helped me, but it might well help you.
I was told by a physio to keep exercising my hands by opening and closing twenty times, three times a day. Also, take each finger in turn and manipulate each joint within the finger. After you’ve done each finger on each hand, do it again. Boring, but you can do both these things whilst you take a walk. It might not help, but it WILL help from getting worse!
Also, I take glucosamine with chondroitin.
Hi there, sorry to hear your in pain, I have erosive arthritis, so understand how much pain, inflammation and discomfort you feel. I am intolerant to most strong analgesics, so not so long ago, I was at my wits end with it all. My I suggest, if you haven't already been informed by your rheumatologist, to try out Flexiseq gel, there are two strengths, head straight for the Max version, I sit my hands in hot water for a minute or so, I've found that for me, it works better this way, dry my hands off, then quickly apply a pea sized amount to the palm of my hand massaging in well but gently until its been absorbed. I find applying to already warm warm hands helps my skin absorb it better. Flexiseq is not a pain relief gel, it does however sink into the joints to ease the movement, so you get a bit more movement before you actually feel the pain, it can be applied as per needed. As a self confessed coffee head, I found a very strong caffeine content coffee that is infused with cbd, the extra caffeine pumps the cbd content of the coffee to parts required much quicker , I find it exceptionally good at dealing with the inflammation issues, I now don't have red swollen joints, just the lumps and bumps yes I know when a specific joint is currently active, due to the sensitivity of the joint, but I don't get the massive swelling at all, cbd is a natural anti inflammatory as well as providing some pain relief, if not coffee, you can find cbd teabags on amazon. I am currently awaiting bone fusion as there are no magic pills for my form of arthritis, my consultant describes me as a salvage operation, I've talked him into postponing the op as long as possible, as my argument is, even if I have the op now, or later, the end result is the same, I want to be as independent as I can, for as long as I can, I also watch my weight as this can impact the amount of bone destruction.
About thirty years ago I changed from using sunflower oil, margarine and spreads to butter and olive oil for a completely different reason, but found that my painful swollen finger joints returned to normal. I also found that exercising my thumb joints helped when they were hurting.
Lately I have minimised added sugar and white flour and my knee joints have improved.
My mantra has been keep warm and keep moving. I used to have pains, that went away when I change to warmer clothing. Wool is much warmer than synthetics.
Hope you can continue your outdoor life.
