Possible Arthritis?

Hello, I'm Owl and I'm 22.

I've been suffering with joint problems my whole life, I have memories of being very young with great pain. Finally after many years of saying I'm just 'fine', Doctors are truly believing me when I say that I'm in pain. It's not 'growing pain', it's not a 'phase'. But since it took this long to reach this outcome, my GP has me set to have lots of tests for Rheumatoid Arthritis (The Juvenile Kind) as well as an Autoimmune disorder possibility?

Is there anyone else out there who has had a similar experience? Please help me to understand what I could be expecting to be told in the (hopefully) near future!

Has your Doctor ruled out Hyper mobility syndrome? My wife was diagnosed at 45, our daughter at 18 both where told it was growing pains! Diagnosis of arthritis can be at times a process of elimination. My wife who as a diagnosed auto immune arthritis as never had a positive result from a blood test nor raised inflammatory markers. My advice would be to ask for a rheumatology referral.

Hi AV got psoriatic arthritis mutalins arothapy, ingot diagnosed with it a few yrs ago. A was bk and forward to orthopaedics and GP and a canny mind who else lol. They couldn't find nothing wrong with me. A had to get my big toe amputated in 2010 as it was swollen to 3 times the size and purple and the pain was horrendous and most days was terrible to walk on it. A had 2 go to golden jubilee hospital in Clyde bank as the forth toe on the foot went the same but they fused the bone n put a metal splint in it but it's still the same and the surgeon said that he doesn't know how a radiologist or gp or surgeon that done the big toe didn't see there is no cartilage in my toes and he diagnosed me straight away with the arthritis mutalins. A got put on methotrexate injections but they aren't working n that's been abt 3yrs on it, AV stopped it my self n the rhuematolagist I had has let all my toes and fingers to start going the same they are all inflammation and purple n swelling under and around the nails n the knuckles. AV got a lot of other health problems as well but if UV got any symptoms then ask 2 get tested especially if there's a family history of psoriasis or arthritis in the family. Hope u get the answers and the proper help. Keep me posted on how you get on if

you don't mind. X
