Very uncomfortable week this week.

This week has been a bad week for me. I've had several days that the pain in my lower spine has come close to bringing me to my knees. It's been unbearable this week. A couple of days it almost brought tears to my eyes it hurt so bad. Both day this has happened in Was at work. My question is should I go to my GP about this or a rheumatologist or consider going to a spine doctor. This is getting out of control. I can't keep going through days like this. Even trying to get out of a chair hurt real bad. I think my GP will probably tell me to go back to my rhumy. I don't think he'll refer me to a spine doctor. The pain is still going from my lower spine down my led and I to my foot as,well. I need some relief in a big way right now.

Pain is the pits - knees, feet, lower back - I take pain pills and no relief JD. I really have changed into a snarling thing. Going to rheumatologist late November. We shouldn't have to endure this agony of chronic pain. Hope you can seek some relief.

Sookiedee I think I'm going to have to go back to mine as well. I don't really want to, but I don't think I have a choice, before it gets to bad on me. The last time I went he told me that Celebrex was the next step to try for pain, but that was August of last year. I haven'tbeen back since then. This week has been bad with back pain plus my leg and foot as well on the right side of my body. I'm also have discomfort in the upper part of my spine as well that's just started in the last few weeks. Talk with ya later. J. D. Quinn

I think you need the pain clinic

I was with the pain clinic for four years, and getting more and more steroid injection . They just stopped working this year with no effect. The pain clinic have discharged me after I said I have been diagnosed with posisoric arthritis. They said they can no longer help me.😁

Hi - I have PSA and chronic pain in my lower back, the worst part for me are my Sacroiliac and facet joints. It got so bad that I ended up unable to walk and in a wheelchair, my Rheumatologist has me on Methotrexate and Embrel referred me to the pain clinic, where I had nerve debridesation ? spelling. I call it nerve burning! Every 6 months I had sacroiliac done following 6 months I had facet joints done, I wasn't totally pain free but I could stand it and was able to walk again. My advice would be see your pain team - they really are there to help you be as pain free as possible. - Good luck x

I think you should go back to your doctor and ask if alternative pain medication could be tried. You can't be expected to go on like this. I have o/a and find the worse thing is the dreadful tiredness I feel all the time. I just want to curl up in bed some days and, believe me, that wasn't me a few months ago. I'm having a new hip 8th November so I'm hoping that will help a bit.

Please don't just suffer - try your doctor first. Hope you feel improvement soon.

Best wishes.

This sounds like sciatica. I have RA, Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis among other things. My pain often has me in tears, and I can hardly walk in spite of Morphine. GP and Rheumy both say it's sciatica, and I've been given a couple of exercises. Hope this gives you more thoughts. x

To be honest with you poemsgalore1, I'm very tired of feeling this everyday. I've tried 5 different pain medication and none of them helped me. Trying to fight it makes it worse. Mine is OA as well. Mine it me in my late 30s. I'm now in my 40's and the pain gets more intense than it did a year ago. Trying to move my joints makes it worse.
