Hi Kyriew glad to hear you have a dx. Once you start your medication you should feel a lot better. I have Psoriatic arthritis but it is treated the same as RA. Take care xxx

Thanks Nottobad. It was a toss up between Psoriactic and Rheumatoid. Im just happy that after years of moaning that I have pain I finally have a reason. Hoping the meds will take down some of the swelling in my fingers. xxx

If I could cross them I would. Mind Ive just been sat at the hospital pharmacy for 2 hours as my consultant forgot to sign the prescription and hes on holiday. Ended up pretty much barging into his colleagues office between her appointments and asking /begging her to sign it.

Still got the meds now. Starting them today. Will see how it goes.

Hope your having a good day.

I had much the same problem, my rheumatologist didn't date the prescription and tried to give me 3 months supply, I went to the chemist the next day and they wouldn't give it to me. I see rheumatologist at my local community hospital so I went back there and luckily there was another consultant there that day, who used to be mine for many years. So she redid the prescription for me. It wiped me out for the day, so at the NRAS I was recommended to take it in the evening, so you sleep it off. Had an upset stomach for a couple of days but 9 weeks down the line that has improved. Good luck

Pleased to hear no side effects so far for you. I should add I changed from Azathioprine, I had taken that for 31 years, but also have Humira and naproxen. We are all different so hopefully this drug will work well for you.
