Time for another appointment with my rehumatoligist.

Time for me to make another trip to the rheumatologist. After coming close to ending up in the floor last night, because of the pain in my knees and feet , witch by the way is still there . But for the first time I've never end up this way until late last night. The rainy damp wet days have made it even worse for me. I hate ending the year 2015 and bring in 2016 feeling this way. I think the one that responded to my post last night is right. I may have some rheumatoid arthritis working on me as well now. I don't think Osteo can be this aggressive. But then again I might be wrong. Is there any relief at the end of the tunnel. If there is I need it ASAP. Thankfully I'm getting a some heat from my 18 lbs. pug that's in my lap . My feet do look swollen and puffy tonight. I guess it's from being on hthen all day today. I can't put one leg over the other right it just aggravates the discomfort My shoulders feel ok tonight they're not as bad as,they were the other day. My hands have been sore today as well getting ready to take a couple of ibuprofen for arthritis to see it it helps me so tonight. I know it sounds like I'm falling apart at the age of only 40. Happy new you to everyone of you .

I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in 2011 in my hands. Then I was referred to the rheumy clinic in June 2015 to see if was RA turned out to be psoriatic arthritis as well. I have psoriasis as well but not everyone with PsA has psoriasis as well may be a visit to your rheumy clinic would be a good idea take care and happy new year

Amanda I was diagnosed with OA in june but since then it's gotten in my hip ,knees and shoulders. I went on WebMD last night and put my symptoms in and the top to that came up in the results was psoriasis and rheumatoid in that order. So it makes me wonder if it's more than just OA that I have as well.

I am getting a lot of pain in most of my joint now. I thought I just had dry skin on my elbows but the consultant said it was psoriasis and now I have it in my scalp as well I would go back to your rheumy clinic and see what they say good luck

Thanks Amanda and good luck with you too. I just took a couple of arthritis strength ibuprofen. Hopefully it'll help me some . I don't want to be tossing and turning all night because of me hurting. I've already had nights that I've lost sleep because of my arthritis acting up.

What a terrible way to end 2015. It sucks that you are having to experience this at such a young age. I would definitely look into RD. Best of luck in the new year. Miracles happen everyday in medicine. Some genius will stumble upon a solution🎊

Sorry to hear your not having a great start to the new year I hope you feel better soon, apologies for the time of this reply (4am) but I know what you mean about this dam weather hopefully we will have a scorching summer LOL. Just some things that help me that you may find useful to try, central heating"my home is like Peru",nice bath and I mean soak tumble PJ's just to warm them get someone to bring them to you just as you are drying or getting out of the bath.also I highly recommend investing in an electric blanket and not at the same time.....a hot water bottle seriously.

The relief I feel from on is incredible ( using one right now hahaha). Meds obviously, and warm milk these usually help. In regards to your knees (I too have RA/AS) I mostly one leg is more painful than other one and often "locks" if you know what I mean but hopefully this one will work for you as it has for me,for descriptive purposes lets say it's you right knee that's playing up whilst sat/laying down shimmy or scoot your left foot under the right ankle and continue to shimmy the left untill the back of your right ankle is on the front part of your left ankle( please say your still with me) using you left leg and ankle to take the weight of the right leg you can swing the right leg around a bit to help movement (I don't claim to be a doctor so if it still hurts stop I am just saying that it helps me getting comfy on the sofa or getting in or out of bed) another one you can try which again I use is the excess fabric on trousers or jeans literally grabbing a handful and lifting it as one not using the leg / knee at all sometimes grabbing by the bottom some times the thigh depends what type of position I am trying to get my leg into.

I really hope some of the things I do help you if you can understand how I explained them I too am in my late 30's and feel much older sometimes.

Good luck and happy new year
