Went to my GP for my yearly yesterday. It was my first appointment with hime, the one I had been going to retired last year. He had me fill him in on how my arthritis had been. I had told him that it was a rough winter and that I could barely stand up during the day for work. I had also said I was tired of having test done and everything come back negative and show nothing , weather it was xrays or blood work, he agreed. Having gone through 4 previous medicines to help my osteoarthritis he's having me try a different one. This one is diclofenac. I just hope that this one helps. I also told my gp about the warm sensation in my leg he asked if I had pain in my lower back and I said yes. He didn't order any test. My guess is it my be spinal stenosis that's starting in .you back from what I'm reading. I was also noticing pain in my left leg now yesterday while I was work. Although it's not as back as my right side right now. Should I have asked for an MRI or CT scan to see what's going on ? Something tells me I should have. I had also told hime that I didn't think I'd be going back to the Rheumatologist because I wasn't getting results and it was costing me to much money
My appointment yesterday. : Went to my GP... - Arthritis Action
My appointment yesterday.

Hi JD, hope the new medication works for you and with few side effects. If you feel like you need an MRI, go for it. They sometimes don't pick up everything like I thought they would. I had an MRI on my right foot and it said it was early arthritis. Now of course it's advanced, but I doubt any arthritis can be halted in time.
Good luck and hope you're on the road to somewhat pain-free health in the future.
All the best, Sookie

Me too sookiedee, I'm so tired of hurting like I do, and the sounds of it you are too. All my best goes to you as well. Jason
Thanks JD - we all need caring doctors to watch out for our best interests, that's a given! Again, hope your new medication works for you.

I take co-dydramol which makes me feel tired all the time but I'm never out of pain completely. Got osteoarthritis in my neck, lower back and right hip.
Olly17man, I have oa from my shoulders to my feet. But with in the last few months I've been having pain in the side of my legs and lower back . So I'm wondering if spinal stenosis is starting on me now. From what I'm reading that's exactly what it sounds like.
Hi JDQuinn75! I know how you feel!! I had a very painful injection in my hip in November 2015 and the pain decreased a bit for all of three weeks. I do not use a walking stick (have resisted so far) but I am going to try it out tomorrow - my balance is not good. I'm o.k . when I go out with my shopper (I call it my four wheel drive) - I suppose it gives me confidence. Never thought I would end up like this!!! Today my meds have hardly worked.
