This is for a family member, she is 67 years old that walks daily, but for the last 4 months she has been unable to do the basic of things. She can not feel her ankles but she has NOT got any pain, we have been to the doctors and they have given her some tables to in prove her iron intake, but these are not working. Does anyone know what is wrong? (If you need more information feel free to ask)

I presume before she was given iron tablets, she was given a blood test to check for Iron levels? One should never take iron tablets before checking the iron in the blood.
Has this lady been checked for Diabetes ?
What tests has she had ?
Are her legs swollen?
First thing that springs to mind: can you support her in seeing a different doctor in her GP surgery or change to a different GP surgery? It is very difficult to see any connection in between not being able to feel your ankles and iron deficiency. Perhaps more tests should be done, if your family member wishes to know more, and perhaps get adequate treatment.
