Complex PTSD.

Dear Ladies.

I have been in touch with the out of hours service because I am that frustrated.

I have requested treatment for Complex PTSD, and I intend writing a book about my experiences.

I am going to name names and tell my side of the story for once in my life, without the lies, misinformation and conjecture.

Best Wishes XX

Hi Poulson,

I’m sorry things are so difficult at the moment, I hope you’re able to get the support and treatment you need.

I wondered if you’d had a look at the Mind website which has some information and resources relating to complex PTSD - mind.org.uk/information-sup...

I also wonder if there are other forums where you’d find shared experiences for your diagnosis, and that might be helpful in directing you to appropriate support and treatment based on what others have experienced. Peer support is so important as we all know :)

Wishing you all the best, take care.

Dear Poulson!

Writing about your story can be rather healing. Journalising is a great therapeutic channelling.

Creative writing is good for your soul.

If I would reflect upon my experience of ups and downs for a public audience, I'd reconsider the following

1. How to protect others and myself (safe guarding issues)?

2. What would I like to disclose?

3. Which Audience am I writing for? Political consequences and reconsidering gate keepers (there are requirements in qualitative writing (legal consequences), especially "sensitive issues")

4. The Purpose of my Publication

5. Collaboration and Proof Reading

and lots more...

I certainly would not use the "Chimp" (Steve, P 2012 "The Chimp Paradox The Mind Management) inside me , meaning I am pursuing a project, because of my emotional turmoil. My "human" approach is about informing, helping and supporting people in need and obviously being open to learn from other people's wisdom. I can not change the past...We all have a choice.

Wishing you peace.

I think that sounds like a very positive and hopefully therapeutic process. I wish you the best, it’s hard and I have often thought about writing an article but am stopped due to the fear of being judged.

I really hope it helps you, you can publish on kindle.

Best wishes

I hope you get somewhere with out of hours and get the support that you need. Writing a book is something I’ve always wanted to do in terms of my own recovering having had bipolar I can tell some funny yet also life changing experiences from when I was an in patient in psychiatric wards when I was unwell. I find reading personal stories of people’s experiences of mental health issues so valuable in educating others about what it’s really like to live with a mental health condition I wish you all the luck in the world with writing your book and hope that the process of putting it down on paper is a therapeutic process for you xx
