Things had been going ok, but this past week the voices have come back and she has talked about overdosing..but luckily the medicine cabinet is locked..then yesterday on her way back from the hospital after having steroids injection for baby lungs she had thoughts of crashing the car..she had her youngest son with her... Her care worker came out and its he's checked there are no spaces on any M&BU so she will stay home as its not long now till baby comes..she is refusing to go to a regular mental health unit..she is also packing to move a couple of weeks after baby comes which is adding to her stress...so fingers crossed we get through the next week to Friday and pray that things calm down once he is delivered..
The "man" is telling her we are all out to hurt her and she is convinced her husband is trying to poison her...she won't take any drinks from him unless its a can of Diet Coke...its sealed..making life hard for him in general, he has to sleep on the sofa as she thinks he stays awake all night watching her...waiting for something to happen..what is it she doesn't know..so exhausting for us all..so I am on duty every day now until next Friday..then well see what happens ..

I just wanted to drop you a line to say I am thinking of you and your family. It sounds like you are all coping with so much, and that your daughter is still very unwell. I do really hope that she can get a place in a mother and baby unit really soon as it sounds like that will be the best place for her.
I really hope that the birth goes ok and that then she will be able to recover. I can imagine it must just be awful at the moment, and you may be losing hope that things could get better, but things do get better and your daughter will come through this, as will all of you.
Hi RedRosie36, I don't think we have been in touch directly before but I also wanted to send you my best wishes, and to your daughter & her family ahead of the birth next week of their little one.
It sounds like such a worrying time for you and you are doing an amazing thing by supporting your daughter through what must be a tough time for you all. I will be thinking of you all, and hoping that things go as smoothly as possible in the next week or so. I hope too that you are able to spend some time with her little boy, I know this was something that I wanted in place for my eldest when I had another child after PP (which thankfully did not then return).
I too hope that an MBU place becomes available, and that things go as well as they can for you all. Take care, and please write when you need to, we are here for you,
All the very best, xx
Dearest Red Rosie36,
one can not put into words how exhausted you and your family must feel. It is such a worry for all of you.
Like Ellie said, hopefully a MBU place will be available in due course and all goes well with the birth.
Wishing your daughter lots of strengths and energy. She is surrounded by her loved ones which matters so much.
I just also want to say not to lose hope....you and your family are going through a terrible crisis at the moment and it's hard to keep going for everyone but one day all of this will be just a distant memory and when your daughter is well, you'll all be able to enjoy what you have and the precious grand children. You are doing an amazing job supporting your daughter, please look after yourself too.
We are all here for you so please do write whenever you need to.
You’re being so brave for your daughter, it’s so traumatic for the whole family isn’t it. Hoping you have support from your wider family around you too.
Hang in there. Hope the induction goes as well as it possibly can, and in time your daughter will get better.
I'm so sorry to hear how stressed and exhausted your family must be keeping your daughter safe until Friday. It's so hard isn't it because everything she is feeling and hearing is very real to her? Such an awful burden to carry even before baby arrives.
I can remember having to be watched 24/7 at home and I was suspicious of everyone. It must have been a strain for my husband and family as during my second PP my first son was six. I was hearing a commanding voice and at one stage my husband had to sit on the floor as his head wasn't allowed to be higher than mine! This all sounds unreal now but I thought I would share it with you so that you can see that even in the depths of despair there is hope that your daughter will be well again.
Take good care of yourself. We are all thinking of you. xx
Daughter has been taken into labour ward as she is not great..they have put her in a side room so her hubby can stay as long as he wants......she will see the mental health midwives in the morning with a view to bringing the induction forward as she will be 37 weeks tomorrow..the voices have gotten too loud for her to cope with...
Hi RedRosie36, thanks for taking the time to update us. We are all thinking of you and I hope the MH Midwives will be helpful in advocating for your daughter, as you are also doing so amazingly. All the best, and I hope you and her husband can also get some rest, take care, xx
That's a good sign that your daughter accepted she needs medical care and will be safe in the labour ward. It must be so stressful for your family but you have been a great support and I hope you can all relax a little tonight. We'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family and the soon to be newest member of it! No rush to update us here of course, it’s a busy time. All the best, hoping it goes as well as possible for you all. Hx
I hope all goes well for your daughter. She's in very good hands so try not to worry ..... thinking of you and your family and wishing you all the best. xx
Dearest RedRosie,
my thoughts are with you and your daughter. Wishing you and your family strengths and hope all goes well.
