I have never heard of this. Tell us more please.

Hi. daff. An interesting question. I believe many of the Eastern treatments can help in our problem. Shih Tzu, Chen, acupuncture etc. The philosophy behind them is so different from the Western approach The idea of 'wholeness' comes into it. We do have holistic therapies in the West but they do not seem quite the same. There is more to man than just the body and mind. Eastern philosophies explore that fact and use it in treatment. We get 'swamped' by emotion and feelings so that all else goes by the board, but sorting out the wheat from the chaff is difficult but important. Some things we need to dsicard as being useless to our recovery. Others we need to keep and nurture. To me the Eastern philosophies have a lot to teach us about ourselves. Best of luck with your new found wisdom. jonathan.

I tried SHEN and was amazed and how it affected me in a positive way. I do think its important to allow ourselves to try something more than pills but were all individuals and do whats best for us. I fell into a black hole and didn't know how to get out of it, I gave something new ago. After each session I felt very emotionall and cried and after returning home after the last session I felt so low, but was told that that was bringing all the negative emotions to the surface, so I went to bed cried and cried so hard and felt that I had wasted my time trying it, finally fell asleep only to wake up the following morning feeling so much better. I started to feel more motivated felt I could cope again and each day these feelings got stronger and stronger, feeling better and better. It was like I had finally started to slowly climb out of the black hole. I hope all this makes sense. I have always been a busy person, day off work and I still run around but never relaxed. Now I relax, read a book, who cares if I don't hoover up, if the house looks untidy a little longer. Why should I feel guilty for having down time for me.

"SHEN therapy is a breakthrough approach to emotional health. It works using the biofield from contractions, we loosen the painful emotions deep inside the body, then we reposition our hands to lift the emotions to the surface where they can dissipate. This process is repeated as necessary and sets the positive for a sound positive emotional shift" That's just a brief description from the web site, hope it helps anyone who is interested.
