Hi. warkie. It sometimes helps to know why these symptoms occur. You have seen your GP, I hope, and been told it is (only!!!) 'nerves'. These are the symptoms of tension, associated with anxiety. The neck muscles go into spasm and tighten up and this puts pressure on the head muscles. It may interest you to know that headaches occur by the restriction of the blood flow to the head muscles and do not occur IN the head. Also, the inner ear, a very delicate balancing mechanism that keeps us upright, is also affected by stress. Sea sickness is a good example of what happens if the inner ear balance is affected. If you have been seasick you will know what I mean! rouri describes this well. It is like being on a boat. I still get this now and then and sometimes I almost get alarmed by it. But then I just (!!) accept it for what it is.

Very alarming, frustrating and depressing but of no real physical significance. Best wishes. jonathan.

Hi dear, yes I have had this a few times just out of nowhere , like a symptom to shock me into remembering not to get too cocky! Just ignore it if you have been to your GP and got the all clear for any ear blockages or such things . Sometimes I wake up with this but don't pay it too much attention and it will get fed up Love and Hugs x Ella x
