have you looked on the direct gov website for jobs. 13 pages of jobs come up for the croydon area, you should have a look if there is anything on there you would like.

Hello acallow, I was looking for ages for a job in croydon but couldn't find, working in London now. would be much easier as i live in south croydon, trains/buses makes me exhausted and trigger my anxiety as well.

internet search is the best to look.

all the best xx

Hello thanks for that, no London def out of question for me anxiety sky high on comuter special, I travelled to Clapham Junc from east croy for about 18 months and it seriously did my head in, comuter at the mo def out for me, but thanks anyway for the idea.

Where in London do you work? just out of interest to see how another anx person handles travel onthe sardine special.

I notice you said you in south croydon, -, hope yo dont mind my asking you this, but I have messaged people who live local to me hegecrone, flowerfairy, bunmi, sandyj and mchlwinter to see if they interested in meeting one evening somewhere, dont know if you would be interested, somewhere quiet where we can talk. Dont know when say in couple weeks?

I find talking very helpful and support groups especially, - be interested to see what you think.

Anne (it says 'acallow' on my profile and I dont know how to change), but its Anne.

Hello Anne,

I work in moorgate, i don't know how i cope but I have to. in the morning i get the bus to East croydon, then train to london bridge then underground to moorgate, well sometimes i burst to tears when i come back home and start shouting on my bf that i can't do it anymore but then i pick up myself and do it all over again.

i live in SC (Bramley hill) like 7 mins to croydon central and would be happy to meet all of you of course. i am up to it, maybe on a saturday morning??

i wonder if we are able to get some help from croydon charity if it does exist, it seems everywhere they have some sort of centre that deals with people with stress/anxiety/depression problems, apart from GP clinic, my GP wanted to give me tablets only, nothing much, i asked for help of some sort of therapy but he said nothing :( so i am dealing with it on my own. read a lot and i know few tricks but i am not cured.

xx

Hello Rouri yes to meet on a saturday morning would be good, pick one a few weeks ahead and if its ok by you ill post it on this website so local people can come if they want. There is a Starbucks in West Wickham or a Cafe Nero as well where we could meet. I realise we dont necessarily want too many people overhearing, so we would have to pick our table, or, my local pub The Crown on Wickham Road is good at late morning/lunchtime, you can go in and just have cup tea or coffee. There are a lot of tables to choose from, or in the garden of The Crown (weather permitting).

OK ive posted a question to see who wants to come. Im out this evening so wont see any replies - I joiined Toastmasters last week at the recommendation of one of my anx books (one of my many)... the guy who wrote said go to Toastmasters to improve confidence. It will be my second visit this evening and it is primarily a public speaking and leadership training organisation, Im not interested in public speaking or the other subject, but to get my confidence up which is lower than low. And I lost my bother recently as well, on top of everything else,

Does anyone who feels unbalanced or dizzy, because of their anxiety, have helpful ways in controlling the feeling or handle it?

I know the feeling of unbalance is a common thing for some who suffer from anxiety so I hope that...
