Hello Sophia, sorry to hear you're struggling. Taking meds didn't resolve my anxiety either, I had to learn what anxiety really was and realize that I was approaching it all totally wrong. The reality is that anxiety is a paradox, the more you struggle with it and fight and try to beat it the more it persists. The solution is to learn to accept the anxious feelings and thoughts and let them flow through you like waves. It takes time and commitment but it really does work.

I suggest reading the book DARE The New Way to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks by Barry McDonaugh. You can also check out his videos and program on youtube. His program has really helped me and I found the youtube videos by his associate Michelle Cavanaugh to be very helpful in simplifying it.

Hey SophiWe are here for you. This community is very supportive. When my anxiety first broke out i stopped watching the news. I couldn't really take it because it made me feel worse of all the bad things that go on the world. I know I still need to get information , so I switch to business news and local news. Just reading the headlines that I need to get information such as traffic, local events, weather and that wouldn’t trigger me. To get calm I went on long walks (if possible with a friend), drink chamomile tea, exercise, talk with friends, play with my kids. It takes time, my anxiety is still there, wishing for a permanent solution but these have helped me. At times it goes out of control and have to increase the things that make us happy to counter act it and be in a manageable situation.
