Venlafaxine and Lyrica

I have been on Venlafaxine and Lyrica for over a week with no change to my anxiety and horrible effects on my vision. Has anyone else been on this combo of drugs and had similar side effects? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jess1313, I've been on Venlafaxine but not Lyrica. Most of these meds take at least a month to start working but if your already having vision problems...I think you should look into taking something else because that's kind of scary and shouldn't be happening. I was not fond of Venlafaxine...however sometimes the benefits outweigh the bad symptoms. In any case, the withdrawal is horrible... if you are already feeling this bad, I would consider getting off of Venlafaxine before too much of it is in your system.

Jess, I was on Lyrica while on Xanax at one time. My vision did get worsewhile on Lyrica. Taken off it, I was okay again esp going down steps

Sorry to hear you are going through this.

I've not taken Lyrica, but one thing I didn't mention there was that you could have been started on too high a dose.

What dose are you taking of these and what did you start on.

Often they need to be started at a low dose and slowly increased to prevent side effects.
