Starting sertriline please advice

Hi all am on day 6 on my tablets I feel so sick my appetite has gone and feel like my anxiety is worse anyone who’s started these how long does it last please am struggling

Say, tbh I felt similar with my appetite and had some nausea. I lost some weight, but hey it’s been lockdown so not been the worst thing for me. As I said on one of the other threads, definitely takes weeks, my appetite is coming back now and no nausea. Stick with it…

Thankyou so much am on day 7 still been abit sick but not as bad am taking propranolol as well as with my anxiety my heart rate keeps being high I hope these tablets work I feel like am loosing it and will end up in hospital my legs went like jelly before like I couldn’t walk it’s horrible I hate anxiety so much xx

Your experience sounds similar symptoms to mine, as my wife put it “it’s crazy that something that’s supposed to make you feel better initially might make you feel worse”

Get as much rest as you can what you’re experiencing should pass once your body adjusts to the setraline and it kicks in but that being said don’t hold back in asking your GP questions, if nothing else just to put your mind at ease. I made the mistake of not doing so coming off it and I’m still dealing with the side effects months later. I hope you feel better soon. X
