Just started Lexapro today and my stomach is so upset had a DNA test said this one’s a good one I hope the side effects go away I’m on the lowest dose

I have a meds fear so as soon as I take one I get something , upset stomach , headache you name it

After one med it would be most unusual for it t upset your stomach that quickly , I wonder if anxiety or maybe you were going to have an upset stomach anyway but because you have taken the med instantly you mind says it must be the med

I would give them a good try , even if they do upset you a little while , these side effects then settle down and the benefits could be so worth it

Read if you take them with food or not as some yo do and some you don't because that can also make a big difference to them upsetting your digestive system

I was also taking Lexapro for a couple of months, also the lowest dose. I was so afraid to take them that I didnt take them as soon as I got them. I let things go really bad before taking them. It was obviously just my anxiety that didn't allow me to take the medication. As soon as I started I was so afraid of the side affects. I was a little shaky when I started I don't know if it was because of the medication or just me. Still, I didn't really have any major side affect. If I did have side affects they were tolerable. Everyone is different so we all have different experiences. Ultimately, the medication helped me a lot. I felt like I was able to live life again without fear of anxiety being a big problem. I stopped taking it, for like 5 months, in hopes of being able to take care of my anxiety alone. It's been a ride, but I am hopeful to just get to control it eventually. I hope the medication helps you as well and gives you a break from everything you are going through. Hopefullyyou get through the first weeks quick you can see if the medication works for you.
