Anyone get shooting pain to head with tmj

I have a bad tmj and it seems to make a pain at the left side top of my head and the left side back of my head. Be very careful but try moving your tmj around to see if it changes where the pain is. That’s how I knew my tmj was causing it cause if I popped it one way the pain would shift to another place. I’m looking into a tmj specialist soon for help

Thanks my pain comes and goes seems when I get stressed it flares up the shooting pain is so ignoring

Yes, I have had it. Woke me up a few times. Was scary. I chew gum which I know I shouldn’t because I know that can overwork the jaw. Ibruprofen usually helps ease the inflammation. Of course, my first thought is brain tumor. Lol Have to laugh!
