So I’m a senior in high school which means college applications! Yay! I applied to three schools, all with things I want and all have their negatives. Today I went on a tour of the one that’s closest to my home, that’s familiar and I genuinely like. I walked into the tour not feeling totally sold on attending there, now I can’t imagine not. So I’m already really anxious about getting my acceptance letter.
To make matters worse, my best friend just got accepted to the college literally a couple minutes ago. Instead of the joy I should’ve felt, my stomach completely dropped. Now I can’t even imagine myself getting accepted, all I can imagine is getting that thin envelope saying “sorry”. I don’t know if I can handle that and that scares me so bad. I don’t know what I will do if I don’t get accepted. I am genuinely terrified that I won’t be able to recover. What am I supposed to do??

Congratulations on the new chapter that you are about to begin. It can be really easy to be anxious and fearful about the things to come, especially when you are desiring a particular outcome such as the college that you hope to attend.
