Moving feeling driving me nuts

I feel like it happens all the time now, I feel like the ground is moving under my feet when I’m standing or sitting or even lying down. It’s worse when I go to the movie theater or have to go on a long drive. It distracts me at work. I’m not sure if the dizziness is making me anxious or if the anxiety is making me dizzy...and I’m too afraid to take any motion sickness meds because a possible side effect is dizziness! Does anyone else experience this? It’s been happening for months so it probably isn’t going to kill me, but I want it to stop, or at least calm myself down so I don’t feel worse.

Yes, I have this sometimes. I live in California where we have earthquakes so I call them 'Jayquakes' - earthquakes for one! It's not dangerous but it certainly can be annoying. I've kind of gotten used to them over time.

Yes I had this for several months last year and had recently started up again. It has started in the spring the last three years and lasts for a few months. I can't help but think at this point that it's either environmental or hormonal. Last year was the worst because it made me super anxious to the point that I think the anxiety made it worse and it just became a a viscious circle. I had every assessment by every specialist I can think of. My plan now is just to ignore it when it happens...kind of like the way you would ignore hiccups. Yes it is a very annoying sensation to feel off kilter but I've never even come close to falling so I can live with it. I strongly suggest you ignore it too but only after you've spoken with a doc about it. You might have something inner ear going on that is fixable.
