Hello again... I’ve been really struggling with my anxiety over the past number of weeks... I have been to see my gp today who has prescribed an increased dose of Mirtazapine(Remeron) - been taking 15mgs/day for about 5 yrs. Due to start taking 30mgs tonight and am terrified!! Does anyone have any positive experiences of this process? She has also given me Diazepam to help in the short term... thank you for reading x

Sorry, not a positive from me re your increased dosage. When I had the same increase I found that I was just far too tired to function well. BUT, NOTHING AT ALL to be terrified of, so give it a go & see if it works better for you.

I've been on Mirtazapine 45mg for over a year now. I take it last thing at night and I find that it helps me get to sleep at night. I would probably struggle to get to sleep if I didn't take it so for me it b helps both my anxiety and my sleeping. I also take Citalopram. If as jencan says it makes you feel tired it's best to take it last thing at night. In my experience there's nothing to be terrified of when taking Mirtazapine. Hope this helps to relieve your worries.
