Mirtazapine
I've been on Mirtazapine 45mg for over a year now. I take it last thing at night and I find that it helps me get to sleep at night. I would probably struggle to get to sleep if I didn't take it so for me it b helps both my anxiety and my sleeping. I also take Citalopram. If as jencan says it makes you feel tired it's best to take it last thing at night. In my experience there's nothing to be terrified of when taking Mirtazapine. Hope this helps to relieve your worries.
Thank you for taking the time to reply... that’s really helpful to know and reassuring

Sorry, not a positive from me re your increased dosage. When I had the same increase I found that I was just far too tired to function well. BUT, NOTHING AT ALL to be terrified of, so give it a go & see if it works better for you.
