Is it normal to feel low mood and a feeling to cry when suffering from anxiety? Or does it mean I may started developing depression?

Hi, I don’t know the medical answer to this but I think anxiety and depression probably work hand in hand, I think it is probably to suffer with daily anxiety and not feel low and depressed by that. I hope that you have lots of support x

I think thats my problem, cause my anxiety is 24/7 and everytime I feel low mood is when I experience the anxiety and miss how I used to be without anxiety

It feels like you are living a completely different life to the one before and so hard to enjoy stuff... I have this too, I think it is pretty normal to feel low from feeling constantly anxious. It is so debilitating isn’t it. Hope you are having a good day x

I cry almost everyday and I have anxiety, I cry because I'm just so tired of feeling this way. It's hell

Crying may prove to be a welcome release. I would welcome it as another valid expression of emotion.

Since I started with anxiety and my life started falling apart I have been completely numb and unable to cry.

I’m not a physician but from what I have been told and read, anxiety and depression go together. I suffer with both as well. I believe crying may be a way to release your emotions. There are many signs of depression that you may be able to find on the internet. Also, be sure to talk to your doctor about your symptoms.

I used to get really tearful with my anxiety and even started crying in the doctors office. I am a lot better now since being on medication for it and I feel like I am pretty much back to normal ... although I know not everyone is willing to take medication, I would say it’s normal to cry and feel low with anxiety :) x

Everyone told me its normal to feel sad and cry with anxiety because anxiety is uncomfortable to the body and you get fed up of it

Yeah, one of the symptoms of anxiety is irritability. And like you said, it is really frustrating. Sometimes you just want to be okay but you do not know how :(

EXACTLY!

It is normal to experience it with anxiety. I had the same thing happen to me and I thought for sure I was getting depression but in the end it was actually my anxiety. Apps like pacifica and mindset can help you manage depression-like symptoms. They worked really well for me and I only used them for about a week. I had been having suicidal thoughts and even made plans and notes but now I am happy. If you’re suffering from anxiety it can get frustrating and depressing but it is not the same thing as depression. Hope you feel better soon! :)

I only suffer from low mood and its caused cause of anxiety. I still go out and look forward for activites and havent lost any interest to activities. Is it still a depression?

Well it is as you say anxiety, but severe anxiety can lead to bouts of depression, ok you might not get there but I would still seek help and advise... Strike while the irons hot, don't waste your life trying to control it yourself, everyone benefits from support and understanding, why fight alone..

Welcome to the world of depression. It's a battle but you can get through it. It's not easy but it can be done. Chin up!

Totally normal to feel that way. If you have anxiety, it happens because you feel frustrated or sensitive to your emotions and situation with anxiety. Believe it or not, happened to me numerous times. A doctor told me if you have anxiety and you feel low, mark it down and remember how many days out of several weeks you feel that way. If its more then half, your probably suffering from depression. I never had depression but I had anxiety so long that comes along with it after awhile. Speaking from my own experience, because I am facing my anxiety straight on from here on in since I have had enough of this! Its been many years! I read a doctor online was saying that you have to accept the feelings you get as it being something to help you instead of looking at it as a threat! Anxiety is a cause of fight or flight to help protect you from danger. You probably already know this. We obviously don't have to worry about that for the most part but our bodies don't know the difference. This is why you need to look at this from a different perspective, anyway that makes you feel better and just say ya, its another anxiety attack but that's ok, cannot hurt me anyway so let it go and it will finally go away for good. keep working on it! I am dealing with this also and I plan on this being the last time! lol...SO good luck hope u feel better and heads up!!
