No, you’re not. I remember googling some symptoms and they were typical of ovarian cancer. I made a will. That was years ago.

Now, I don’t use google but I join forums and I find them helpful.

Thank you. I though i was the only whos dealing with this.

Hi Lovey,

Let me share a story with you... my mom suffers from lupus , sarcoidosis, and one more immune disease that I cannot spell. For years since she was about 16 doctors called her that. They thought she was making up all her problems. Now almost 40 she has been diagnosed with all these illnesses, and they’re starting to attack her kidneys and lungs and eyes. NO ONE believed her. If you feel like something is wrong with you, you know you. Don’t allow anyone to tell you you’re crazy for feeling that something isn’t right. If something is off, figure it out. YOU know YOU. If you feel pain, tell the doctors where you feel pain, don’t tell them you googled it. See specialist , ask for referrals . Once they hear you googled it that’s automatically what they think and it’s sad. Keep it in your records but don’t mention it. Just use them to get what you need. Leave Dr. Google alone because that’s the number one way to freak yourself out, but if you’re feeling pain go to these doctors and don’t stop until you have an answer you’re okay with. YOU know YOU. I hope I’m making sense.

Sorry to hear that. I hope your mother will be okay...Ohh thank you so much.. I appreciated your advices😊

And also remember a lot of symptoms mimic each other. So it may not even be what you searched up.

I think Google is both a blessing and a curse. If you're suffering from anxiety disorder you only see the threatening side in information you get from Doctor Google, this is the nature of anxiety that always thinks of the worst scenario. Thus blood in the urine can be a symptom of kidney cancer - those of us with anxiety disorder stop there and think 'That's it!' We ignore or don't see the follow on which says that 98 out of 100 cases if blood in the urine are of no serious significance and is likely to be a common kidney infection which will clear up shortly. I've used Google to convince myself that a prolonged cough was lung cancer causing me great worry - but I've also used it to give me reassurance and peace of mind.

Of course there is only one doctor's advice that we should take really seriously and that's our GP who went to medical school for 5 years. Often people with anxiety disorder will refuse to believe the advice of a qualified doctor but will believe anything they come across on Google.
