Urge to google symptoms after reading article

I suffer from anxiety and I seem to have a strong urge to google health problems often now which only started just two days ago after reading an article in the newspaper about a lady who Google’s her symptoms the majority of her day. I worried that I may find myself doing that as I occasionally do google symptoms for instance I had flu recently and googled that. Now why is my mind urging me to google symptoms just because I read that article?

I really don't know. I kinda do that too. In my mind, doing this might make me feel better. Thought it was only me doing this. How do you feel when you do this? (Anxiety, sad).

Anxious really. I feel I shouldn’t be doing it in case it becomes a daily habit and how miserable I’d feel if that happened. It’s kind of worrying about worrying. Do you feel like this?

Curiosity? Anxiety can show it's ugly head in many ways. Just remember the 11th Commandment is : Thou shalt not google. Call M.D.
