Just wondering if any of you exercise daily? Do you think it helps? And what type of exercise?

Does anyone here exercise regularly?
I try to walk five days a week usually about 3 miles. It helps me clear my thoughts. It's help me get my anger and aggression out. It takes my mind off my problems. I take lexapro 20mg and I know this will not help my anxiety totally.
I had to make several lifestyle changes
Hi I am 73 but I walk and do Line Dancing and exercise really helps. I find socialising with friends even when it's the last thing I feel like doing. My daughter has joined a running club and a gym and that really helps her. Worst thing to do is stay in bed or the house just going over and over depressing thoughts. Mindfulness tapes free on google help as well.
Good luck xx
I walk everywhere, I do not have a car. I am slim. I walk every day half an hour, often one and a half hours (round work). Occasionally I go to the gym or cycle but I also have chronic fatigue syndrome.
Hi there, I have always done tons of exercise, it depends what you do I think as to whether it can help. I have always lifted weights and stuff in the gym but this was of no benefit, if anything made me more tense. Running is the key. I am not a huge fan but have been going 3 times a week, not far but maybe 3 miles or so. And it seems to shift the adrenaline and calms everything down
Definitely helps with my anxiety - I started off running 5kms - 10kms and built up to 25km last summer, unfortunately due to some problems I’ve had to cut back down, but it’s honestly one of the best things. I started off not enjoying it, but now it’s something I look forward to on weekends, or when I have energy in the evenings!
