Has anyone been on klonopin for a long time? I'm reading it can cause brain damage.

Hi Trees2357 I think the concern here is more about Klonopin no longer working for you. When your symptoms break through, it's time to get off the medication. Your doctor will be the best judge of that as well as guide you into weaning or possibly going onto another drug. The pill is not the total answer anyway. We need to find other methods that will work in conjunction with the meds. As for focusing on it causing brain damage, that is putting more stress on you.

Did you know that cooking with aluminum foil can do the same thing? We can't be worried about everything we ingest or we are not living, we are just existing. We are human and sometimes we need help outside of ourselves. This is one of those times.
