Merapex?

Has anyone here been prescribed Merapex for anxiety and depression? And if so, what were your side effects? Thanks👍

One important caution:

I have been prescribed Mirapex/pramipexole for RLS--restless legs syndrome. I also have anxiety and depression but they are treated with other drugs. This is just background info. What I want to tell you is that up to 1% of people who take this drug will get hypersexuality or addictive gambling habits. It's weird, but true. You can research it for yourself. I know drugs.com has it documented under the physician's section. 1% isn't common at all, but it's devastating if you are in that 1%. My sister, who would never normally be wasteful with money, gambled loads of it from taking full doses of Mirapex. It was totally out of character for her. Their family really suffered from this addiction.

I still take the drug myself but I just wanted to alert you so that if you started to get the urge for one of these addictive behaviors, you would know to stop the drug and let your Dr. know.

Thanks so much! The one thing that is bugging me right now is that since I started this med. I have been itchy. I'm digging holes in my skin because it's so bad. My doctor is out of town for Xmas so I'm trying to hang in there so I can let him know before I just quit taking it. Sometimes I feel like a lab rat,😞

Aren't we all? We each are a new experiment every time a new substance gets prescribed. I've not heard about the itching and I couldn't find it under the dermatological side effects. But apparently it's a side effect for you. I like your name.....and the 777. One of my names is Found77.
