Sertraline

I've been doctors today and he said he's thinking of putting me on sertraline. Is anybody on it? He said it takes upto 4 weeks to kick in, and he said I'll feel worse before getting better. Is anyone on it and what are the side affects please xx

I'm on it and it works for me. Only side effect is a little weight gain but I'll take that before feeling like crap anyday. The reason is you feel worse before better is cuz depression just gets worse and It's got a few weeks to get worse until med kick in. For the first few days you might feel a little fuzzy and groggy but that quickly goes away when your body gets used to the med. Hope it works for you and you start feeling good sopn

Everyone reacts differently to meds. Some work for some and others don't. I tried Sertaline and it brought out all the anxiety symptoms, it wasn't a nice experience for me. My doctor did say this would happen but I just couldn't handle the side effects. You should try anyway because you never know it could be the best thing you did. Unfortunately for me it wasn't but I am glad I at least tried and it wasn't right for ME!

Im on it. I used to take 25 mg b4 going to sleep but I got horrible nausea and vomiting the next morning. I decide to try taking it in the moring instead and wow, it helped within 1 hour. It was a fkn miracle, I was free from anxiety. But ofc, everyone reacts differently!!
