I have been told that the opticians can tell a lot from looking in your eyes so I would say that if they say they look fit & healthy you will be fine but while you are there tell them your fears & let them explain it to you what they are looking for etc hopefully they can give you peace of mind x

Absolutely! I used to work in an opticians and saw many patients who had concerns about tumours - that was before I started suffering with anxiety myself. Health anxiety is a git but you CAN overcome it....I had it for years (still have anxiety) but stopped myself Googling (never do this!!) and started to keep a diary of thoughts and feelings/fears....then you can read it back next time you panic and see that you didn't die of anything or have a serious condition
