Tinnutus: I am so hyper sensitive to noises... - Anxiety Support
Tinnutus
Hi
Did they say you were suffering with tinnitus or did they not acknowledge that it was that
I suffer with it & when I am anxious I can hear it more as well as the more I focus in on it then it can feel like it is driving me mad , there is not much though they can do for it so it can be a question of learning to live with it which if you keep noise of some kind in the background it helps , though this does not have to be loud noise just something though that distracts us from the ringing noise
Also have you had your bloods taken recently and particularly your iron levels as if you have low iron that can make your ears have a ringing noise to worth having it checked
If you really are not happy though go back again & ask them as they are saying there is nothing wrong could they explain what it is as it must be something & what they can suggest to help you with this , tell them it is distressing to keep putting up with it
Good Luck
Love

There was a tinnitus awareness week in February in the UK. A recent report by Action on Hearing Loss found that over half of NHS hearing departments are not giving people access to services that they need. I think you should see a different doctor and insist on more tests, and ask for a referral to a aurologist at the hospital.
