I don't know what's wrong with me....

Hi there, I'm knew to this site and stumbled upon it whilst googling symptoms...surprise surprise. I decided to join to share my experiences and hopefully gain some reassurance from others experiencing the same thing.

About a year ago I started to get chest pain. I went straight to A&E and after an ECG and X-Ray, they concluded that everything was fine and I'd probably pulled a muscle in the gym. Before that, I'd always been a happy positive person, a bit of a worrier, but nothing severe. Since then, I have also been diagnosed with a 5cm cyst on my left ovary and was told it could be cancerous. Luckily, it wasn't. However, since all this I have found myself worrying about my health on a daily basis. I have a list of of ailments as long as my arm and I don't know if there is an underlying serious medical condition or if it's all in my head. I was diagnosed with Globus (a lump sensation in the throat) about 2 months ago and after my diagnosis, I received a copy of a letter sent to my GP from the ENT specialist who diagnosed me. In the letter it said I have a hospital anxiety and depression score of 15. Does anyone know what this means as I don't have a clue?

Other symptoms I'm battling with on a daily basis include:

Chest pain

Upper back pain - it feels as though there is something in my back when I lie on it

Lower back pain - although I think this is due to the ovarian cyst

Pain in my left shoulder

Achey arms, particularly the left one

Pain in my hands

Tingling feet

Sweating throughout the night

Pain in my neck and the back of my head

Nausea and feeling dizzy occasionally

Shortness of breath occasionally

I'm a reasonably fit and healthy 31 year old woman and I just want to feel myself again. I feel like all of this is consuming me. I just want to be me again :(

If anyone has any insight into what is wrong with me, or if anyone if suffering anything similar, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

Hi there.

I can't speak like an expert as I'm not, but my Mum is someone who has a lot of ailments and we feel they are all from anxiety. She is 66, but this all started when she was 30.

You probably are a very fit 31 year old and probably are in good health. But if the mind is convinced there is something wrong I do think it can convince the body.

It's all very a part of anxiety,

Just like the previous poster said if your mind thinks it your body feels it.

Example: the other day I was awake for 24+ hrs, I didn't drink much water or any liquids for that matter, I was sitting down a lot of standing. I started getting scared that maybe the lack of liquids and all the sitting would cause a blood clot ( hypochondriac of me is afraid of those) immediately my feet felt heavy, then my feet started getting spadms in the calfs, I got a dizzy spell, short of breath and a shatp sudden pain in my chest :( yup I thought I was a goner. But guess what it was just my mind.

I totally understand what you are going through thank God you are okay and that the test result came back negative :)

I was not that lucky I was positve for cervical cancer almost 9 yrs ago till this day I still fear something is wrong down there but all tests are negative now.

It's sadly a fear that will never go away after you've had it because you fear of it coming back.

You have to come to terms that you are blessed and have your health :)

That you are able to be active, all those aches you are having are tense muscles from all the annxiety.

Try hot baths or showers, massages etc to help you relax. And in no time you'll be yourself again :)
