Unexpected gratitude

Hi. I did rest. I am glad I did. I reread my post and I did hold resentment against people. They didn’t understand I thought or they would let me be like that. Maybe they do understand! I don’t know what they think or go through either. So judging them is wrong. In fact, what I do know seems pretty harsh and I would not want to or know how to deal with their problems. So, I am going to be grateful for these people in my life. It feels better already. I want to have manners too and try not to be rude but I know I am not alone and that suffering seems universal.

Meditation does not seem to work for my monkey mind, but I love listening to meta or loving kindness meditations.

Expressing and feeling gratitude for people you don't like is really helpful! I try and fail and try again all the time to do so.

Although aimed at kids, this friendly wishes meditation by Annaka Harris is one of my favorite things to listen to. I highly recommend listening once or twice (or in my case hundreds of times).
