Seasonal depression is definitely hitting this year. Waking up and instantly feeling down. And lonely.

What are so of your ways of combating the seasonal depression that pops up when the weather gets a little colder?

Hi Dot, I set up projects for the winter, this winter I am going to give all of my baseboards and trim a fresh coat of paint. I do about 15-20 min at a time so there's no pressure and I feel like I am getting something done. I cook. I am painting and installing ceiling tiles in my guest bedroom. I rearrange my closet and bag up things for donating. Last winter was really hard for me, I spent most of it in bed. I always suggest clean sheets, that always feels good. Today is the first day of snow where I live so I am feeling down. Yesterday I moved my summer clothes and winter clothes. I did some organizing and found a better place for my giant shoe collection, so today I hope to finish the shoe migration, but first a little nap. I hope this was helpful and try the lamp for SAD.

I like the idea of doing projects. I have a sewing machine I've been wanting to learn how to use. I've struggled with the "where to start" mentality. But I think it's the perfect project to start because I have a feeling it's gonna take some trial and error

I'm feeling it too. I try to take walks, treat myself to something, and eliminate stressors. The time change is going to aggravate it a hundred fold. So I'm really mentally preparing myself to just get through the next few week. On Thanksgiving, I put up Holiday lights, and that seems to lift my spirits a lot.
