YouTube has hundreds of different things to do for anxiety. I have a friend who ended up in a psyche ward from all her friends telling her she had different things wrong ( it was anxiety).
I had a doctor tell me once with severe anxiety you were better off being in a dark room with no stimulation or data coming in.
Anxiety is a very tired nervous system and every thought is some stress - what do you think??

Once a few years back, I had a family member that was extremely anxious, living in a terribly anxious state. I think even stuck in fight flight freeze. It was bad.
Anyway, we brought her to the hospital bc her doctor said that's what we should do. They put us in a really quiet, sound proof room with no tv or stimulation of any kind, dim lights and a nice comfy bed. The doctor was educated in mental illness and was gentle with her. It was the only time in a month or so that I saw her that calm. She wasn't completely out of the woods but, it helped. There's something to it I think to some degree. Even temporarily to give your nervous system a break- for some people anyways. 🤷♀️
I'm sorry lonepain. You're feelings are valid. The mental healthcare system in general is terrible. We have a ways to go to get to a better place imo. I hope I'm wrong bc we need proper mental healthcare desperately.
