I thought I would post about something I read in a self help book...give a nam3d to all your anxious, worried and negative thoughts...I named mine after my stepmother and I tell those thoughts I just don't want to talk to them...I took it a Step further ND when I need to think in rational states or positive thought I named...I call Master Yoda.. I dunno just food for thought maybe it will be useful to others
Best wishes

It is actually helpful. Giving a name to negative thoughts separates you from the thought. We feel like we are defined by our thoughts but really, all thoughts are just thoughts and it's the way we act on them that is important. Ignoring Bob if you call negative thoughts Bob for example, makes Bob fade away as Bob has no more power over us.
