The people that don’t want to hear about it are my relatives. It’s complicated and I talk to my therapist about it. I know she won’t get upset or emotionally involved.

relatives suck …my family don’t believe in mental illness it’s something you suck up ..shake off ..keep calm and carry on ….have you seen the sit com keeping up appearances….if not must try and get it …thanks for standing up and listening…you know therapy is non existent in the uk

I used to watch that program religiously. Poor Mr. Bouquet.lol I love Absolutely Fabulous. The opposite of keeping up appearances. My favorite scene was when the blonde got drunk and burned up the kitchen. She had no qualms about what the neighbors thought. Even when she sobered up.

Oh, my family has no problem with accepting mental health issues, they just haven’t really experienced them and aren’t interested in learning about them. They don’t understand and don’t want to talk about it. Like I’m not interested in how to repair an all terrain vehicle.

I’ve been made aware since I’ve been here that therapy is difficult to come by in the UK, but it’s pretty lacking in the states, too. It’s a sad state of affairs.

yes absolutely fabulous was so funny ….Joanna lumley ..the blonde one…I think my parents father especially have a problem admitting one of their offspring might be different than the average bear …it’s like a stigma …a weakness they can’t admit in themselves if that makes sense….but they are totally off the scale of nuts 😄 20 mins of their company is 18 mins too long ….do you know how to take off a dashboard reading for needs an oil change by any chance ?

it makes perfect sense. I was raised when nothing came out of the closet. Plus being in the military, families were supposed to be perfect. Mum was the word. And I don’t mean mom.

If the oil change isn’t needed, you need a new oil sensor or disconnect the sensor altogether. I wouldn’t know how to disconnect anything though. Go online and find the instructions. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
