I am currently on 15 mgs of it a day. It should be helping with sleep too which is an added benefit compared to a SSRI like Prozac. It just may not be the right med to control anxiety in particular. In the past I have been on 30 mgs and it definitely did the trick on depression. I am more on a regular maintenance dose now. I do think it started to help after about a month. You may want to talk about an increase or at this point get referred past your GP. They can only do so much until you perhaps get to a counselor/psychiatrist. Keep posting. Others here are of coarsen the same medicine. Be well!

I'm taking 45mg mirtrazapine, I've been on this medication for many years, I was on 30mg but I think I've got used to the lower dose, I'm not taking this medication for depression, it's used for my neuropathy and aids in my sleep I was told, it's used for many conditions, I suppose it all depends on what dose your taking, even now I don't think this tablet makes much difference towards my sleep routine, but I've been on this medication for nearly 11 years, and perhaps I've just built up a tolerance to this medication , but I do have symptoms that keep me awake anyway, so it's difficult for me trying to get a decent night's sleep, but do give this medication a try , as I think you'll find it works and I think I'd still have problems getting a proper night's sleep regardless, best of luck.

Hi, thank you for your reply, It help to understand what causes might be used for this Medicine, I alway though they will work over night, not some time to kick in, I was diagnosed with costochondritis which caused a lot of pain, stress and anxity.
