Now this is food for thought…
I have enjoyed Kahil's poetry since the Seventies when my brother introduced me to his writings. All I can say about this post is: it's not that simple. There are adults out there who suffered severe and continuous abuse through their childhood and as a result are emotionally dysfunctional. There are people walking our streets suffering from traumatic brain injuries. These people struggle with "attitude". We all must take responsibility for our recovery. But a positive attitude is only part of the equation. Having said that please know that I find your posts are helpful. They prompt me to consider what values and attitudes I am operating in each day. Thank you for your posts.
