hi! Does anyone have an suggestions or strategies to cope with morning anxiety? I seem to wake up every morning feeling slightly on edge and anxious. As the day goes on I feel less anxious. I have noticed that recently I’ve been having a harder time staying asleep at night. I fall asleep but wake up a few times. Any suggestions would be great. It’s frustrating because I don’t want to live the rest of my life having this morning anxiety.

Maybe plan your day the night before. Sometimes thinking what might happen can cause anxiety.

I think Trentz has a good suggestion. I have one that is going to sound silly but sometimes works for me. I find that I cannot stop the negative thoughts from coming. What I do is treat them like they are familiar companions that I don't wish to spend time with. I will say to myself "oh, here YOU come again, I figured you would visit me like always. I don't really have time for you today, seeya next time"..

I found fighting to not have the thoughts didn't work - managing them often did.

Try doing some exercise or just moving your body in the morning. It's proven to reduce anxiety
