Hi everyone - looking to see if anyone has experienced sudden side effects after being on WB for awhile.
I’ve been on Wellbutrin SR 200mg 2x day for several years now. Most of the time the first dose is taken without food (empty stomach) and I go about my day nothing wrong. Since I had surgery back in Dec, I take it on an empty stomach and now start feeling very queasy and sometimes a bit light headed. I’m no longer on pain meds, so that’s not a consideration. This is new and I’m not sure if it’s the WB or something else.
Have a history of IBS, but that’s not really being triggered as it’s managed through diet. The queasiness lasts for a couple of hours and then it dies down, whether I eat or not.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else experiences this.
Thanks all.

Hi, Boo0102. I take two 50mg ER in the morning. My pharmacist said it often causes sleeplessness so I don't take one in the evening. Maybe try eating a cracker or piece of bread/toast when you take the pills?
With the number of meds I'm on, I probably have 5 or 6 that could cause queasiness so I couldn't tell you if Wellbutrin (Buproprion) was the culprit or not.
I was on it for years. I didn’t have nausea but I did have dizziness. I didn’t think about it being the WN but I talked to my doctor about tapering off of it because I didn’t think it was helping anymore since I had been on it so long. He told me how to get off and it was only after I got off that I noticed the dizziness had gone. I’ve had other meds that started having side effects after taking them for years so, yes, it is a thing.
