Hi RayannAbbey x

I have read all your posts going 2 years back.

I see the same concerns in each one and that is "if it is normal?"

Whether it be surgeries, procedures or medication, you seem to have

developed a Health Anxiety to issues.

Believe, I know when we worry and fret about everything, everyday, our

body no longer goes into a restful state *even when sleeping.

It takes a deep REM sleep in order to regenerate our muscles. When we

don't, it affects both the mind and the body.

From all my fears and worries in the past, I developed Fibromyalgia which

produces that achy bodily feeling. What helps me now is making sure I

am well hydrated as well as using relaxation/self-hypnosis Meditation each day.

Our muscles are meant to be used but not abused through our state of anxiety.

I hope this helps some. You are not alone. :) xx

hello RayannAbbey

It is common and completely understandable to have some degree of health anxiety when starting any new medication?

We see a doctor and by doing so have to place our trust in their knowledge and experience to provide you with effective treatments

The big proviso is that we are all unique individuals who react differently to the medication? We are advised to weight up the cost benefit to each treatment? If you are experiencing challenging affects , it is perfectly reasonable to discuss this , clearly and concisely with your doctor? You are the one who has to live with any negative effects ? I think more people should speak out rather than feel they are obliged to carry on no matter what?

Doses can be changed and different variants can be tried? It is possible you would be more suited to a different ssri?

If you are feeling very uncomfortable with sertraline ? A good doctor should be happy to discuss alternatives? Ultimately it’s your body and your life ?

Good luck and best wishes
