My perception is it's quite nasty. Small animal smells like a Horse. I think it was nerves. IBS type you understand. He's settling in, bowels not as irritable

Maybe not misbehaving. Parrots teach us their language, and we don't always understand as quickly as they would like. They can get frustrated and impatient when that happens.

This means something to Herman. Be patient, and let him choose his way. I know you don't want him to withdraw from you, but you can let him choose.

I'm not gonna lie but I thought having a pet toad was a concept from old black & white movies from America lol ... hedgehogs on the other hand I know people rescue them but they're advised not to handle them too much as we should release them back into the wild.
