.....If you knew you wouldn't get hurt, physically or emotionally, what would you do? What would you try that you've always wondered about?

Get on the next rocket to outer space. Otherwise, my feet are firmly planted on good old Mother Earth.

What would you do?

Well, thanks for asking!

I turn 61 tonight at 9pm. I was much braver when I was younger, and have done a lot, and survived a lot (medically); For years, I have rehabilitated many starved and abused horses who now have love and good homes; I got my private pilot license at 17; I went skydiving twice; I've saved and cared for countless cats and dogs all my adult life. If I was still young, and knew I wouldn't break a hip or worse, I always wanted to ride a Bull for the 8-second victory. Now I just watch rodeo on TV 🤣. I still want to drive a racecar around a track too.

The final thing on my "bucket list" is an African Jeep Safari, and staying at Giraffe Manor, where the giraffes just walk around the big hotel, and stick their long heads and necks inside your room so you can pet them and give them snacks. I might even slide down the long neck and ride a giraffe!🦒

WoW! Well, in this case, since we wouldn’t be harmed by anything, go for the gold, right? You would have a great time in Africa. Pet a lion, ride a bull elephant, swim with the hippos and slide down your giraffes neck. Happy birthday 🎉. 61 is a very good year. I’ve always wanted to go on a mustang round up. But I’d make sure they wouldn’t get caught.

Backpack solo. I am too afraid of bears and big cats. Logically i know the chances are very, very slim. People backpack solo all the time. I am even afraid of hiking solo if the trail is at all isolated. Sky diving sounds less risky. Walking in the city seems less scary although chances of getting hurt are much greater.

This time of year, bears are "stocking up" for hibernation. Your chances of being a "meal" are higher. Stick your head out first. It will be far less painful, and quick to be bitten in the head. Maybe postpone until very early Spring, right before hibernation and baby bears emerge. And if you got lost hiking solo without cell phone service, you might have to live off the land in the cold for a while. YUK to eating bugs! I am SO with you about walking anywhere around the city (downtown). Where would you go if you walked in the city, presuming you are safe from danger? I'm a suburban/country girl.

Nah... they got plenty of easier food. The city folk that moved to the mountains during the pandemic think they can use regular trash bins. Bears have been known to get into cars to get food too. That is way easier than people. The other animals are in abundance too. We do have a drought but there is still plenty of wildlife for them.

I live in suburbia right now but I have lived in the city. I take the train into the city. I'm not dumb enough to walk certain areas at night but I'm not afraid going out either. You just have to stay in populated areas, transit is really safe, walk with purpose and away from dark areas. Get an Uber if you aren't familiar with the area. I did have a near miss with a gang one night years ago. What saved me was being in the middle of the street under lights. They had to convince me to come over but my instinct said nope. But I solo travel too. Women shouldn't stay home because of fear. If the women of Iran can protest we can surely go to a museum or restaurant alone.

I have a bear eating berries behind my house nightly. I know this because it poops in my driveway nightly. it is all a part of living in a mountain town. I don't mind.

I would need a travel partner. I'd like to scuba dive again, FIJI Bula! I'd like to vacation in POLYNESIA, I want to take a cruise up the Alaskan coast, see some whales, glaciers and the aurora borealis. I'd like to spend a week at a nice spa resort, massages-swimming- healthy food, body wraps, more massages ...I need some pampering
