I am looking into online based therapy. There are many options out there. Looking for feedback.

Just looking for feedback on the many different online based therapy services offered. Thank you in advance!

if you are in the US I believe Sondermind is in every state now. It is more like a place to connect independent therapists but they handle the billing. They are not like betterhelp and they take Insurance . Another option is teledoc. I just learned this actually. Not as much choice of therapists or information about them compared to sondermind but cheaper.

I tried BetterHelp and was happy with my therapist.

My psychiatrist's office happens to have therapists. I found names in my area from Psychology Today which gave a brief bio.

None of those people were taking new patients who also took my insurance. Chose the psych's office therapist.

I have never met her in person. It's odd to me. However, it saves on travel time. I think most therapy is online and your therapist could really be anywhere.

Remember if it's not a good fit; move to the next one. Good luck.

Take care, many online 'Therapists' are after money and a filmed endorsement to bring in new customers. Some of them aren't qualified.
