I'm really struggling with anxiety. I was prescribed quetiapine, but it didn't help and I'm now weaning myself off it. I'm finding it extremely hard. I'm also on diazepam my psychiatrist had advised me to increase my dose of this to help with the withdrawal. Does anyone else have experience of this?

🖐 Hi, Thanks for the post.I think its best to listen to your psychiatrist on this issue.
When I was taking quetiapine, it was added by my psychiatrist to an antidepressant, only for short term use and for ensuring a good night's sleep.
I believe it might be possible to get off it after long term use but doing so very slowly.
Good luck whichever way you decide to go 🐈⬛
Thanks for the reply black cat. I've been on quetiapine for 4 months now. I managed to reduce my dose from 300mg to 200mg about 6 weeks ago. I'm now on 150mg and am reducing by 25mg a week as advised by the psychiatrist. So it's going to take me another 6 weeks. It's been really hard but I'm hoping the diazepam will help. It's been a really tough few months and I can't see anything positive ahead, I get very frustrated with myself about my negative thinking patterns I'm seeing a psychologist and she is helping me with this. I feel stuck like this and I can't see a way forward.
