How do I quit 3 mg Klonopin which I've been taking for ~3 years? I crossed over from Alprazolam to this devil and my doctor says to reduce by .5 mg every 10 days. Someone please help as I'm desperate to discover a benzo-free world and see how that feels like. Thanks!!

You taper very, very slowly, it should never be a sprint, instead it should be a marathon. You want to taper slow enough to be able to live your daily life as normal as possible. Let your symptoms dictate how long you hold each reduction.
Here is a link to the Benzobuddies forum. They have a discussion dedicated to those who want to learn how to taper off Klonopin/Clonazepam. It is helpful to have like minded people to support you.

You can do this, just be sure to educate yourself before you begin the process. 🌿
SLOWLY VERY SLOWLY!
Don't try to cold turky, i am also in same position.I was taking clonazepam for three to fours years, still can't get over with it.Always get in touch with doctor, which i didn't.If possible try to change your daily schedule, see if that helps.
Be sure to taper very, very slowly! I was tapered too quickly, at the schedule you mention in your message, a little over two years ago... I had severe withdrawal symptoms, and ended up with an auto-immune disease that will be with me for the rest of my life.
Be sure to do your own research, and insist with any doctor that you may work with that the taper is done slowly. snowdaze offered some great advice. I had done reading on it, and followed the doctor's suggestion anyway (I should have known better!), and I had very bad results.
The other good thing about a slow taper is that it's much easier to adjust and adapt, it gives your body and mind time to work through the changes. Best of luck to you!
I've read that a good rule of thumb is to double the amount of time your doctor tells you for the tapering. Most doctors don't really know what it is like and underestimate it.
