Hi I’ve been taking 15mg Mirtazapine for months (around 7 months) but I’ve ran out of tablets and can’t get anymore until my doctors put through my prescription. I didn’t take my dose tonight as I’ve ran out and my anxiety is everywhere because I’m scared what’ll happen because I’ve not taken my tablet. If someone could help that would be great x

I am in the UK too. If you used one regular chemist they used to be allowed to give you a few to tide you over. I still think they can but will have to charge you.
If they don't the official advice is to ring 111 and speak to the prescription line. What they will do is check your records and are able to authorise and send a prescription direct to your nearest chemist (or any other you prefer). Do it tomorrow morning so they have time to send it for Friday. I was told this by my chemist and have done it on a couple of occasions.
Missing one dose won't do you any harm or produce any side effects as the drug is still in your system due to the cumulative effect. However missing more can make you feel a bit unwell ie shaky and a bit spaced out.
I weaned off this stuff after 6 months.. breaking the 15 mg .. cutting the 15 mg in half for a few days and I was fine after that.. it says you are supposed to wean longer but I was ok ., I did this 2 x .. as the stuff wasn’t really helping me.. it helped me sleep 3-4 nights a week.. but no help for sleep the other nights.. and it didn’t help my anxiety during the day., I tried it twice for 6 months each
I was on venlafaxine, which says you can't stop them suddenly, you have wean. Went on holiday and forgot to pack them. I was on tenterhooks for days wondering what it would do to me. Well, nothing as it turns out. Don't worry about missing one or two but definitely do what hyupercat suggests.Good luck.
Mirtrazapine made me hallucinate and I stopped taking it as soon as that happened with no ill effects. I think 15mg is the lowest dose so you shouldn't worry. Probably your worry is making your anxiety worse much more than the fact you aren't taking the pills?
