Yes! This has happened to me. He took down my entire life in 5 weeks. (Long Story. 5 years with a toxic, thieving, manipulating cheater whose family helped him hide it extremely well) The pain and depression were unbearable and blocking him cold turkey was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But also the best thing I ever did. A year later I met a wonderful man that rocks my friggin' world. And I wouldn't have been in the place where I met him had I not gone through that. He had a toxic ex also, but 3 years later we're still going strong. Many times I felt like you do. In the words of my late, great aunt Judy: "You think there isn't going to be anyone that #ucks you like them, but there is. You think you're not gonna love like that again, but you are". And I did. You will too. Sending you good vibes and prayers.
