Good news/bad news

My blood work came back normal. (Testing for inflammation plus the regular panels…no hormone tests, though, except for TSH)

That’s good news! I’m relieved.

Except I still feel like crap. Musculoskeletal pain, mental fog, fatigue…. My doctor referred me to a rheumatologist just in case. Some things like fibromyalgia don’t show up in blood work exactly.

I’m keeping up with my yoga classes (75 minutes, 3 times a week). I’m trying to eat healthy but I have no motivation to go to the grocery store or cook.

I have no motivation to go anywhere, really.

I have fibromyalgia and I’m in an exact same position. I ended up in A&E last week feeling so unwell and disorientated and fatigued. Of course after a CT head scan, blood work, urine sample and heart electro gram everything came back good but I feel so unwell everyday.

I appreciate your responding. I’m sorry you’re feeling so unwell. Hopefully, tomorrow I can get myself and the kids out of the house. It just didn’t happen today. I had a few places I wanted and needed to go but it just feels too difficult some days.

I have fibro and it sounds like me to a t. I had Covid in December and then the pain never went away. My muscles in my arms and the elbow joints ache my hands feel stiff. I have been diagnosed since I was 36 and never had pain like this until hello perimenopause. I added magnesium citrate as "CALM" yesterday and my muscles have relaxed some. I blew out my knee July 1st and it is almost back to before it happened. I also get creepy crawlies under my skin in various places every so often. I have found stretching, yoga and muscle strengthening exercises help. Hope you get answers!! Gentle hugs 🫂🫂

I’m glad you got some relief with the magnesium. I started taking a magnesium complex recently.

I had COVID in December, too. I didn’t feel sick, though. I got the Pfizer vaccine in March…and started feeling worse a couple of weeks later. Three day long headaches, etc.

My physical pain isn’t usually intense…it’s just constant. Especially neck, shoulders and shoulder blade area. Knots, tender spots, pinched nerves.

Yes I hurt everywhere when I got covid but only lasted 5 days. After my first shot in March I had the same but the achiness never really subsided. Then last month the ache got worse but only when I was low in estrogen. When I got my second shot in April I had no side effects. So in May I started my AREDS 2 for my macular degeneration, vitamin D3 and calcium chews but the calcium made my muscles tense so I added the magnesium citrate on Monday and it seems to have relaxed the muscles. Doctor said Cymbalta but last time I was on it I got the shakes. I'm allergic to Lyrica and Gabapentin gives me headaches. I hate taking pills so I have just learned to take Epsom salts baths and my vitamins. I have added stretching and exercise now I'm looking at yoga. Sorry so long but I feel like I've aged 10 years since December. Hopefully once my estrogen stays low my body learns to cope better than this rollercoaster ride.

I hope you find a good combination of treatments to get some relief.

I don’t like taking prescriptions, especially ones I can’t cut in half. I was on Cymbalta a year ago but I didn’t like the brain zaps if I was late taking a dose. I don’t like to feel physically dependent on a medication.

When I feel better, I always try to decrease my medication slowly…then I remember why I need it. 🤦‍♀️
