Thank-you very much…..I will try it. Have a good night.

I use threonate...and taurate...i alternate them...as a woman no more than 350mg per day...glycinate is the best alrounder as it is most easily absorbedThink about melatonin too...no more than 3mg per night...otherwise you will feel sleepy the next waking day.....walnuts are a good source.

Tryptophan or 5htp is good too because it raises serotonin...found in milk and cheese...but you can get supplement form from Amazon,

Hello, I hope your day is going well. I have a question for you. Do you know what the best time is to take 50mg of trazadone to sleep would be. My sister was given some from her dr and she really can not sleep. It makes me anxious very much. Thank-you, if it is not to much trouble. We have been googling and it is confusing.

I am not a doctor....what i can share is that trazadone has a sedative effect at 50 mg and can be taken half an hour before you plan to sleep. It is also useful for anxiety and depression....If you plan to use as a sleep aid...and you find you are drowsy the next day...lower the dose...i.e. Cut the tablet in half ....

You may find you have a dry mouth and throat the morning after.

If you are using it for anxiety...it can take up to two weeks to alter your body/brain chemistry to start feeling benefits...in the shorter term it may seem to increase your anxiety which is why people never stay on it long enough to feel better.

Interesting med. sorry, I do not mean to use you as a doctor. I have been reading Dr. Weeks and I am having a hard time understanding floating. Is it only for panic attacks, or any type of anxious behavior.

in reply to lolanell

No I dont mind questions....but i have to explain that i am answering them as an informed person...not as a health care professional.

The Claire Weekes book is not only for panic attacks but any sort of thinking involved with mental and physical unease because they all work together...the body is affected by your thoughts just as much as your thoughts are affected by your body.

Floating is not reacting...floating is not resisting...not fighting not controlling...just letting things be as they are...no matter how uncomfortable......everytime you react...to something inside yourself you are not floating....you are holding yourself in check...in place like a frightened animal....unable to relax or let go....this uses up far more energy than letting go.....this keeps the roundabout spinning...the anxious thoughts chasing its tail....the same applies to things and events outside of you...outside of your control....learning to let go....to not react...to float....that action stops more fuel to the flames of fear and anxiety....lessens fear and tension.

Trying to understand why you are anxious in the first place...is like walking on quick sand...the more you try the deeper you sink..

The trick is to let go...stop reacting....that way you float.

At some point you reach stability...calm...peace....and life seems normal again because you no longer respond to feelings of fear so intensely....that is my understanding of what the book is trying to Imply.

I re read your question...and think you meant that you are a person who needs to be in control...letting go is not second nature to you..

So the thought of floating seems counter productive...in some cases thats true...but with the ever shifting condition of anxiety which needs you to feel fear in order for it to survive...not so.

Hope that helps you a little along the way.

Yes. That does make sense to my rational mind. I need to read the posts over and over again. I did do some heavy cleaning and it did help with forgetting everything that was in my mind. In better times. I am a walker. I do hold back because at times my jaw is painful from being tense. At the school the clinical people are always giving the students during their anxiety periods methods to stop the anxiety. Mostly meds and coping tools, such as music, drawing, and puzzles. Many of the students cut themselves and hit walls. I must tell you I am used to working in a high stressed environment with emotions flying freely. I do keep very calm at work and do to the nature of being the supervisor of teachers I make a number of important decisions daily. Hope you are doing well and I do re read the posts. You are a good role model. Enjoy the day. 🙆‍♂️

As you already know.....and as ..i am begin to understand you...your job is not easy...it requires someone with enormous patience...empathy and compassion...not traits that many possess. The fact you do have these characteristics means you have already use methods to help those other souls in similar torment ...it is hard not to be affected...to switch it off when you return to your home...

I admire you for your work...i know the work you and other like you goes unnoticed ...unrewarded...but I thankyou on behalf of the silent voices out there for what you do....hope you have a peaceful day today...
