Day 2 - Lexapro

Hello everyone - this is my first time in the forum and also had my first ever anxiety episode. I’m 38yrs old and last week I landed in the ER a couple of times due to odd chest and nervous sensations. It all happened so quick and it was then a roller coaster ride feeling afterwards. Yesterday I followed up with my Dr, and we started Lexapro 5MG. I took it as soon as I got my hands on it. Last night was rough, had some anxiety but not like the time before and I was only able to sleep about 3hrs. I would like your kind support in sharing what to expect. Does it get better day by day what helped you ?

Hi Dee, i'm not on Lexapro but from my experience on other meds, it usually takes 1 - 2 weeks before you notice any changes from the med. The only ones that are fast -acting are anxiety meds like klonopin and xanax.
